It is important that each athlete complete the required core courses as well as the number of electives required in order to be eligible to play Division I or II athletics.  In particular, note that the NCAA considers only the grade point average of core courses – thus, an A in Physical Education is not included in the GPA while a C in English is. 

Note also that NCAA requirements may differ from the colleges or universities that you are considering.  Be sure to balance the two differing requirements when crafting your schedule.  Additionally, read the information regarding AP classes prior to finalizing your schedule.
